On Saturday March 31st and Sunday April 1st the first meeting about Oxygen,
Mixed Gases and Rebreathers was held in the beautiful Italian landscape of the
La Spezia gulf, specifically in the Marina di Massa city.
The speakers of the
meeting were among the most well-known, famous and highly respected
professionals in the Italian diving field, civil and military:
- Dr. Fabio
Faralli, Professor of Medicine, Commander and one of the most famous hyperbaric
doctor in Italy (military and civil) spoke about oxygen and mixed gas physics
and physiology
- Giampaolo Consoli, Corvet Captain officially representing
the Italian Navy, spoke about military rebreathers
- Roberto Delaide, NAUI
Italian Representative, technical course director and one of the most known
Italian rebreather experts spoke about civil rebreathers for sport diving

Marcello Toja, journalist and director of Marescoop, an Italian internet diving
forum and magazine was the moderator.
Present at the meeting was also Luca
Gatti, director of the professional and hyperbaric diving school.
The meeting
was very successful due to the presence of very interested divers from all over
Italy. After the meeting there was an open discussion during which many divers
made different questions specifically about rebreather diving.
