Whether it is in the private sector, general public, or civil services, NAUI
instructors across the globe continue to promote and educate safe diving and
environmental awareness. The Dutch Military Scuba Diving Club, 'The Corpsdivers'
stationed in Muenster, Germany can contest to this. Each year, military
personnel and their families come together for an annual trip to the Netherlands
to visit the province of Zeeland that consists of a number of islands and is in
fact is one big river delta formed by three main rivers: the Rhine, Waal, and
Meuse. The Oosterscheldes’rich and diverse marine life offers the curious
adventurer rudimentary beginnings that expand into complexity and beyond for a
sport diver and scientist alike.
The area truly offers an intimate encounter
with ever changing ecosystems and first hand experiences with natural wildlife.
Equally, Zeeland is an ideal location for scuba education and certification at
all levels. Congratulations to our new NAUI Open Water Divers: Ed Brust, Jeroen
Mol, and Fred Tolhuis, new NAUI Advanced Open Water Divers: Jan Doest and Jan
Wouters, and new Master Diver: Marc Boone. Keep it Wet! Our gratitude and thanks
go out to our NAUI instructor, Luck Fokkema. A fantastic instructor really makes
the difference. Last but not least, further thanks to NAUI Instructor Leendert
Verbiest and his wife Lydia, the owners of De Witte Boulevard Vakantiepark,
www.witteboulevard.nl who accommodated and educated us over Zeeland. If you plan
to dive in Zeeland please keep them in mind. They are fully equipped to provide
and help you plan and make your diving trip the most enjoyable one that it can
be. We will see you next Year! As a Bigger, Stronger, Better, and Safer NAUI
organization, 'The Corps Divers'.
